A successful excavation project requires the contributions of different professionals, such as geologists, engineers, and heavy equipment operators, to work in a cohesive manner. Each member brings a unique perspective and skill set to the project, which enhances the overall success of the project. Effective communication and coordination among team members can streamline the excavation process, minimize errors, and ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.

COLLABORATION

“An honest hours work for an honest hours pay.”

Our Company History

1963

Harry Hammett founded the company in 1963, working with a small crew and small arsenal of equipment. Humble beginnings, but with a big vision, he laid the foundation for a booming business that would grow over the years.

1983

Within 20 years of starting the business, Harry had grown the company to about 30 people and his son, Gaylon, started the process of getting involved with the family business.

2005

Harry was ready to retire, and with 25 years of experience, Gaylon was ready to take over the family business with the help of great team of Texans who were eager to help him continue his dad’s legacy.

2006

With new tech available, Gaylon and his team decided to segue from using old school R&D techniques to using the latest, state-of-the-art drone & GPS technology to better plan for excavation projects. It has resulted in fewer change orders, more precise estimates and genuinely satisfied customers.

2013

By 2013, Gaylon had hired an additional 200 employees and started serving clients outside of Texas. The company was growing, and Hammett Excavation was on its way to being a top excavation competitor in the state of Texas.
